The
First 3 Letters of Your Car’s “Provenance” Are B-E-M
PBS’s
popular “Antiques Roadshow” program has added a new word to many
people’s vocabulary: “provenance.” Provenance literally means the place
or source of something’s origin. But it has also come to mean the story
and mystique that surround a thing, the extra “oomph” that elevates an
object from ordinary to special.
When it comes to your British car, at the back of your
mind is the possibility that someday you’ll sell it. When you do, one of
the things that will help you fetch the highest price is your car’s
provenance—the story behind it. That may include an interesting story
about how you came to buy it, or the places you’ve been in it.
Another aspect of provenance is a detailed record of the
repair, restoration and maintenance you’ve given it over the years.
That’s where BEM comes in.
As a seller, you look better for having sought out the
highest level of service for your car over the years. Coming to BEM
shows that you’ve always seen your car as more than an afterthought. ■ |
