Holy Consignment, Bat Man!
O ver the years we’ve heard good things about Frank Perkins, who runs Coastline Motors in Petaluma. Frank’s an auto broker who’s earned a reputation as a roll-up-his-sleeves type of guy who can hunt down almost any European car in existence.
After we did some work on a Rover he was selling, we kept up an acquaintance with him. Just recently our paths crossed and we got to talking about our own consignment business. That’s when it occurred to us that Frank and BEM might make a perfect match. So, we’ve invited Frank to take some space at BEM where he can maintain an office, display any cars he’s brokering and help us with our sales. “Having Frank based at BEM will also help those customers who often ask us for help in tracking down a certain car,” says Mark Singleton. “With Frank, if you give him a type, a year and a color, he’s off immediately looking for what you’ve requested.” Singleton has already worked with Perkins on one car search where Perkins went down to Riverside to check out cars at a dealer sale. “I was able to watch Frank online as he looked at cars, and talk to him about what looked good. “The beauty for us of having Frank is that now we have a dedicated expert handling our sales and car searches. He gets a central Sonoma County location and access to our repair facilities, as well as our base of very knowledgeable – and selective – clients.”
